Most banks and financial institutions will loan 80% of the Kelly Blue Book retail value on vehicles. For example if you purchase a vehicle that Kelly Blue Book lists the retail value at $20,000, the bank will loan $16,000 toward the purchase of your vehicle. If you purchase your vehicle at wholesale instead of retail, you probably will be able to finance the entire amount because the loan ratio to value will be less than 80% of the Kelly Blue Book value.
